Cochrane Library

Lack of time and a glut of medical information in the form of numerous published clinical studies burdens doctors in the decisions they must make daily. The rapid growth of publications of clinical studies is barely assessable.

The Cochrane Collaboration’s systematic reviews (Cochrane Reviews) provide stakeholders in health care (eg. doctors, healthcare professionals, and patients), an independent, scientific information base to assess the current status of clinical research quickly and objectively. The Cochrane Collaboration, an international network of doctors, scientists, and other specialists, has set itself the task of creating these systematic reviews and to provide these to the general public in a separate database - The Cochrane Library.

Detailed information on the Cochrane Library is available at www.thecochranelibrary.com.
